More about Instinct Furniture

Instinct Furniture was formed in 1997, by founder and Director of Design, Paul White. Our vision from the outset has been to build a successful business that caters specifically to the needs of library and education customers. Our range of height adjustable and interactive counters, help desks and service pods, are a response to those needs.

Our extensive selection of sit-to- stand desks are designed within a life-cycle framework which values quality, responsive ergonomics, durability and longevity. Each design is readily able to adapt to a multitude of functions: help desk, issues counter, welcome point, information pod, or roaming station empowering librarians to re-create their space, adapt to change and respond to the moment.

Our touch-button height adjustability encourages a safe, comfortable and friendly exchange with customers of all levels of mobility. Staff can work seated or standing, at the optimum and safe height, greatly reducing the risk of occupational injuries.

Our range is designed to move and manoeuvre. Ease of mobility provides flexibility within a library / learning space and enables an enhanced customer service with worktops featuring cantilevered meeting ends and organic curves that invite customers to connect and engage.

It is exciting to see how both libraries and tertiary are embracing collaborative learning environments, where social interaction is key. Our customer-orientated designs provide the ideal platform for students, teachers and library staff to get alongside, capture and share information, discuss and work together.

At Instinct Furniture we enjoy building strong customer relationships and find it incredibly rewarding to see our furniture contributing to a better work environment for library staff, as well as an improved experience for the customer. It is always our goal to provide excellent products based on a close understanding of our customers.
